glaucoma
well, the eye doctor gave me a glaucoma diagnosis today. i've mentioned my eye problems here before, so i figured i might as well report the latest for my friends and family.there are more tests to be done and i'm not in the later stages, so i shouldn't be going blind anytime soon. and, i'm honestly a little relieved to learn why i've been having so much trouble seeing and working. my grandmother had glaucoma, so i sort of know the drill. i'll be exploring all sorts of treatments with lasers and eye drops this summer, though i'll likely steer clear of the tetrahydrocannabinol.

To what extent can it be cured or mitigated?
thanks, friends -- it is still very early and the doc expects no big changes for some time. thanks to facebook, i've already gotten some very helpful advice from friends who've been down a similar path. i'm already feeling better/(or, at least, less freaked out) about it.
